Summer 2017:

Ilona Hay of Texere Studio presented a paper at the Architecture Connects Association of Architectural Educators, at Oxford Brookes University. Resulting from tutoring many years and mentoring students through some very successful live projects like the one shown, she presented findings on the roles and relationships between students and clients in live projects. Texere Studio are proud to gain permitted development for their client, for a house extension in the Borough of Lambeth.

Spring 2017:

Texere Studio has been developing options for open-plan interior layouts, for a domestic project in Camden, at the feasibility and planning stages. They are maximizing light and making space work efficiently for family living.

Winter 2016/17:

Texere Studio is appointed to design roof and rear extensions in addition to refurbishment, for a house in a conservation area in Camden.

Texere Studio is also appointed to do feasibility studies for a literary agent’s office in Notting Hill, London.

Autumn 2016:

I. Hay of Texere is proud of the Year 2 BA Oxford Brookes Architecture students. Live Projects briefs she developed with local Oxford clients were designed and built students. Examples to the right: Team B1 created an undulating planter- bench for Harcourt Hill campus, and Team D2 designed upcycled timber tables for Thrive Oxford/Raw -a local charity. In a joint workshop with T. Terazono and University of Plymouth students, a basket based sculpture was created at Headington Hill Campus (photo T. Terazono).

I. Hay continues her involvement with Live Project research as a member of the Organizing Committee for Architecture Connects Conference 2017 at Oxford Brookes: 20/02/2017 is the deadline for abstract submission.

Texere Studio gain Planning again! Permission granted for a house extension in Sydenham, London Borough of Bromley.

Texere Studio expertise on workplace planning: we are proud to be appointed to design layout potential for the office refurbishment of a leading London literary agency.

Summer 2016:

Texere Studio continues their 100% planning record by gaining planning for their design to a residential basement extension in Haringey. The layouts make the best use of space with built in furniture and new glazing.

Planning is also granted for a garage to garden room conversion in Lewisham.

In Bristol, Texere Studio successfully obtained approval for both Permitted Development, and Building Control for a residential project.

Texere Studio presents their design for community rooms and green space at the Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Forum AGM, and is published in the Camden New Journal, 21 July.

Spring 2016:

Phase 2 of the office refurbisment for The Agency (London) LTD in Notting Hill, London is finished. The new offices and assistant desks are now being used to the fullest!

Our Crouch End project is now on site! Work is continuing on this rear extension to terrace house in London.

Winter 2016:

Texere Studio designs a visitor hub for the Woodland Trust, Langley Vale Wood, Surrey, in a RIBA competition.

Ilona Hay of Texere Studio and Oxford Brookes Students were interviewed by Alex Wolfe of That's Oxford TV about the Garden Archway design project for Barracks Lane Community Garden. Student design team: Sofie Arnevig, Michael Forward, Doug Haynes, Francesca Jacobs.

Texere Studio obtained planning permission for a small development project in Brent, London: a conversion of a 4 bedroom flat to two new flats, a studio and a three bedroom.

Spring/Summer 2015:

Planning permission was granted in a Conservation Area in Bedfordshire for an extension to the Old Forge (retail/office).

Texere Studio, in collaboration with Oxford Brookes students, is shortlisted for the Camden Design awards for Woodland Seating. Student Team Woodpeckers: A. Bahan, M. Buckley, G. Brandon, G. Davis, A.Howland, P. James, A. Konishi, K. Thompson, S. Tottenham.

Winter 2014/ 2015:

Texere Studio successfully gain planning permission from Camden, for an extension/ external works scheme, in the Dartmouth Park Conservation area.

Autumn 2014:

Ilona Hay of Texere Studio travelled to Halifax, Canada, to present a paper at the ACSA conference on student and community 'design build' live projects.

Spring/ Summer 2014:

Planning permission is granted for a house extension in Camden incorporating a large terrace and Juliette balcony.
